[What is CTF/e]

CTF/e is an enhanced version of Unreal Tournament's CTF.  UT's CTF is one of the best versions I have encountered so far, but it was lacking in some of the best features found in other mods.  It has only basic team balancing and a lacking communication system.  CTF/e is an attempt to merge the near perfect gameplay with the  more important features of Quake 2’s L-Fire CTF mod to Unreal Tournament. The folks on the L-Fire team went a long way in terms of making CTF a true team game. CTF/e is a start. It’s by no means finished.

CTF/e is a also side project I’m doing because I love CTF.. period! I get to work on it in those rare moments I’m not doing normal work. It’s a one man adventure at the moment while I tinker and toil around with Uscript. If you think of something that should be in CTF/e, drop me a line. If it’s good, I’ll add it.

CTF/e is growing more and more every day. I’m getting a lot of good feedback on what many of you CTF’er really think needs to be changed.  Here is the current finished features list…

+Logon Menu that allows Team Selection
+See the current state of the game before entering
+Select your team from an easy to use menu

+Improved Team/Game Balancing Measures
+Players can not switch or join a team with a player advantage
+The team that has the advantage can not cap the flag until even

[What's this about Titans?]

CTF/e has a new "feature" called TITANS.  I don't know how many people will remember an old arcade game called PIGSKIN, but I do.  One of the best features of PigSkin were the trolls.  If one side got too far ahead, the game would automatically balance it out by "Sending in the Troll".

Whelp, CTF/e now supports this features thanks to our patented CTFeTitanBOTS!  Yep, give a weak team a helping hand by sending in the Titans.  My Titans (ZugZug, Gartog, Rocko and HandleBoy all belong to the {T} itan Clan so watch out for them on a server.

Like all good bots, the boys of clan {T} can be controlled from your command menus and use the current BOT skill settings.  BE WARNED.  Godlike Titans will SMACK YOUR ASS all over the place, so be careful.   The Titans like to use all the same weapons you do, plus smack, punch and toss giant boulders just like the bigger cousins.

Right now the Titans do not have a face texture and use the default male voice.  I choose to do it this way in order to keep download time down (a client can download CTF/e in 1-3 mins at 56K).  I do hope to have user downloadable voice packs for my friends soon.  Look in the section for Normal Users for more information about titans.

+ Adding more improvements to the Spectator cam

[Bug Fixes in this release]

The following bugs where squashed since the last release

+ Skins should now appear correctly
+ CTF/e servers can now appear in the normal server list
+ Player Balance should be calculated more accurately
